The Compendium

A growing record of myth.

Explore public records of Chronikin, nations, creatures, terms, factions, and lore. The Compendium is intentionally a glimpse into the setting—not a replacement for the game itself.

Chronikin Archives

Four complete records. Many more to come.

Each regional Archive begins with one fully documented Chronikin. All additional names are listed as Entry Pending until their records and artwork are ready.

Deolis Chronicle

Demenessa

Fractured

One of the most sought-after Chronikin bondings, Demenessa are highly regarded throughout Deolis. Even non-Archivists offer room and board to those bonded with one, believing their presence brings good fortune. Despite their popularity, Demenessa are incredibly rare, and some Deolsians go their entire lives without seeing even a Fractured one.

Balanced

Balanced Demenessa offer much of the same warmth and good fortune as their Fractured forms. Their golden fur expands into a plush mantle that gives off a comforting warmth to those it deems kindhearted and just. Reports describe feelings of joy, contentment, and improved health, though encounters are thought to be nearly impossible.

Fabled

Fabled Demenessa are regarded as emissaries of the pantheon—divine beings that bring fortune to the righteous. Their immense fur resembles golden wisps of flame that rejuvenate rather than burn. When evil is observed, they answer with divine provocation and blasts of blinding light.

Norfjal

Norfjal Chronikin Archive

Norfjal Chronicle

Vigyrrie

Fractured

Vigyrrie are fiercely protective of their territories and those they deem worthy. Though flightless in this state, they are adept climbers and glide from Norfjal’s trees and cliffs. Sharp talons, whip-like tails, and bladed feathers make them swift and deadly defenders.

Balanced

A Balanced Vigyrrie gains stature and true flight. They patrol Norfjal’s skies, descending upon those who prey on the weak. After bloody battles they have been seen guarding the honored dead until burial, then circling above funeral pyres while making sounds like ancient battle hymns.

Fabled

The Fabled Vigyrrie is one of the most revered Chronikin in Norfjal. Its white and gold feathers reflect light until it appears incandescent, and its image adorns the banners of noble leaders. Ascending one is viewed as a near-religious trial.

Amajima

Amajima Chronikin Archive

Amajima Chronicle

Magada

Fractured

Magada are intensely territorial and usually found near Amajima’s volcanoes, hot springs, and geothermal regions. Their bright orange bodies retreat into urn-shaped shells resembling igneous rock, though they often prefer to lash out with heat and bolts of lava.

Balanced

Balanced Magada can no longer contain their massive forms within their urns. Heated flesh spills outward like magma, and their aggression grows. They can slam their tails into the ground, erupting lava that propels them forward with terrifying force.

Fabled

The Fabled Magada has reached godlike stature. Its molten body twists with impossible motion, warping the air into an oppressive volcanic haze. Where earlier forms fought from fear or anguish, this form embodies pure wrathful carnage and delights in scorching all in its path.

Zharakar

Zharakar Chronicle

Naqravek

Fractured

Naqravek guard the wastes of Zharakar and are regarded with less fear than many Nether Chronikin. They combat those who desecrate graves and are often viewed as shepherds of the dead, lingering near battlefields and sickness until funeral rites have been completed.

Balanced

Balanced Naqravek change little in disposition but become heavily armored and even more skeletal in appearance. Their speed remains unaffected, allowing them to cross dunes with unsettling agility. Many revere them as defenders of sacred sites while fearing them as agents of the underworld.

Fabled

The Fabled Naqravek is a macabre form of twisted bony appendages and segmented armor. Though smaller than many Fabled Chronikin, its necromantic power is unrivaled. It may melt into shadow, unleash otherworldly projectiles, and act as death’s final agent—not through malice, but divine inevitability.
